About Us
Our Community Deserves Better
We built Barakah Network because Muslim businesses are invisible to their own community — and nobody was doing anything about it.
We Need Each Other
Let's be honest with ourselves: our ummah is in desperate need of supporting one another. We talk about Muslim unity at every khutbah, but when it comes time to hire a plumber, find a lawyer, book an accountant, or choose a dentist - we don't even know where to look for a Muslim one.
Sure, we all know the halal restaurants. We know the shawarma spots and the biryani places. But that's it. And that alone is not good enough.
There is no platform - nowhere - where you can search for a Muslim-owned accounting firm, a Muslim real estate agent, a Muslim therapist, a Muslim IT company, a Muslim graphic designer, a Muslim mechanic. These businesses exist in every city. They're run by our brothers and sisters. But they're invisible to their own community.
Meanwhile, we're spending billions of dollars a year outside our community without even realizing there was a Muslim alternative two miles down the road.
That changes now.
We've Been There
We're Muslim business owners. We know what it's like to pour everything into a business - your savings, your weekends, your du'a - and still feel invisible in your own city.
We know the brother who runs a great accounting firm but can't get clients because nobody in the community knows he exists. The sister who opened a bakery and makes the best knafeh in town but struggles to compete with chains that have marketing budgets she can only dream of. The uncle who's been a licensed contractor for 20 years but watches community members hire outside the ummah because they simply didn't know he was there.
At the same time, we watched our masjids hold fundraiser after fundraiser, struggling to keep the lights on. Month after month, the same appeals. The same pressure on the same families.
We knew there had to be a better way.
A Simple Idea
What if there was one place where you could find every kind of Muslim-owned business in your area? Not just restaurants - but lawyers, doctors, tutors, photographers, contractors, web developers, insurance agents, wedding planners, and everything in between.
Not through word of mouth that only reaches a few people. Not through WhatsApp groups that you have to already be in. Not through random social media posts that disappear in a day. But through a real, organized platform built specifically for our community.
And what if every time you chose to support a Muslim business - hiring that brother for your taxes, ordering from that sister's bakery, calling that uncle for your home renovation - a portion of that transaction automatically went to your local masjid?
No fundraiser. No guilt. No awkward envelope at the door. Just the natural result of Muslims taking care of each other.
That's Barakah Network.
Why This Matters
The Prophet ﷺ said: "The believers, in their mutual mercy, love, and compassion, are like one body. If one part of it complains, the rest of the body responds with sleeplessness and fever."
We take that seriously. When a Muslim business struggles, our community loses. When a masjid can't fund its programs, our children lose. When we spend our money outside our community without even knowing there was a Muslim alternative, we all lose.
But when we support each other? SubhanAllah, the barakah multiplies. The business grows. The masjid thrives. The community gets stronger. And that strength carries into the next generation.
Why "Barakah"?
"Barakah" (بَرَكَة) means blessing and abundance. It's the unseen good that Allah places in our time, our wealth, and our efforts when we do things the right way.
We named this platform Barakah Network because we believe that when Muslims choose to support each other - when a plumber gets a client because the community looked for him, when a restaurant stays open because families chose it over the chain, when a masjid funds its youth program because the local economy is flowing through the ummah - that's not just commerce. That's barakah at work.
We're not just building a platform. We're building the infrastructure for a blessed economy.
What We Believe
Community First
Every decision we make starts with: does this help our community?
Trust & Transparency
No hidden fees, no tricks. Every business is verified. Every donation is tracked.
Strength in Unity
A connected ummah is a strong ummah. We rise together.
Barakah Over Profit
We'd rather build something blessed than something big. In sha Allah, both.
Where We Are Today
We're going to be honest with you: we're still small. We don't have millions of users or a long track record of payouts to show you. We're at the very beginning.
But every movement starts somewhere. Every masjid was once an empty lot. Every thriving community was once a handful of families who decided to show up for each other.
What we do have is a clear vision, a working platform, and an unwavering commitment to this ummah. We built Barakah Network because we believe our community deserves an economy that works for us - one where our spending strengthens our masjids, uplifts our businesses, and keeps wealth circulating within our own neighborhoods.
We can't do this alone. The only way this works is if the community shows up - if business owners sign up, if families choose to spend with purpose, if masjids open their doors to a new model of sustainable funding. Every single person who joins makes the network stronger for everyone.
We're not asking you to trust a track record. We're asking you to believe in a vision and help us build the proof together. This is for the ummah. And the ummah starts with you.
Be Part of Something Bigger
