Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Barakah Network ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Platform. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Platform. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are registering a business, you represent that you are the owner or an authorized representative of that business, and that the business operates lawfully in its jurisdiction.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account on the Platform, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe have been compromised.

4. Business Listings

Businesses listed on Barakah Network must be Muslim-owned and must provide accurate and truthful information, including business name, address, contact details, category, and hours of operation. All business listings are subject to review and approval by our team. We reserve the right to reject, remove, or modify any listing that does not meet our community guidelines, contains inaccurate information, or is otherwise deemed inappropriate. Business owners are responsible for keeping their listing information up to date.

5. Masjid Registration

Masjids that register on the Platform must be legitimate religious organizations serving the Muslim community. The individual registering the masjid must be an authorized representative of that institution (such as an imam, board member, or administrator). Masjid information, including name, address, and contact details, must be accurate and verifiable. Registered masjids may receive a referral link to share with local businesses. We reserve the right to verify masjid registrations and to remove any that do not meet our requirements.

6. Reviews and Content

Users may submit reviews, ratings, and other content ("User Content") about businesses listed on the Platform. All User Content must be honest, accurate, and based on genuine personal experience. You agree not to post content that is:

• False, misleading, or defamatory
• Obscene, offensive, or discriminatory
• In violation of any third party's intellectual property rights
• Spam, advertising, or promotional material unrelated to the business
• A fake review written to inflate or harm a business's reputation

We moderate User Content and reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines. By submitting User Content, you grant Barakah Network a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform.

7. Donations and Payments

Barakah Network facilitates automatic donations from participating businesses to registered masjids. When a business joins the Platform through a masjid's referral link, a portion of the platform's revenue generated from that business is allocated as a donation to the referring masjid. The donation amount and payment schedule are determined by the Platform. Barakah Network is not a payment processor and does not handle direct financial transactions between consumers and businesses. All donation amounts are subject to change, and we make no guarantees regarding specific donation amounts.

8. Prohibited Conduct

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• Create fraudulent or misleading business listings
• Post fake reviews or manipulate ratings
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other user accounts or Platform systems
• Scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Platform using automated tools without permission
• Interfere with the proper operation of the Platform
• Register a business that is not Muslim-owned
• Register a masjid without proper authorization
• Engage in any activity that harms the reputation or integrity of the Barakah Network community

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.

9. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Barakah Network and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The Barakah Network name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Barakah Network. You may not use these marks without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Platform. However, by submitting content, you grant us a license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Barakah Network and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Platform; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Platform, including any business listed in our directory; (c) any content obtained from the Platform; or (d) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content. The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We may also notify you of significant changes through a notice on the Platform or via email. Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
